Agreement for the Use of the Educator Platform
By purchasing a course as a student or posting a course as an instructor on the Educator platform, both parties acknowledge that these actions constitute a binding electronic agreement to the terms and conditions of the website. This agreement operates as a written contract under the terms of adhesion for the use of Educator.
When instructors upload their courses or other content to Educator, they grant Educator a license to sublicense that content to students. This means that Educator has the right to provide access to the course material through its platform. As a student, upon registering for any course—whether free or paid—you are granted a license by Educator to view the content solely via the Educator platform. Importantly, this content is licensed to you and not sold, which means that no ownership rights are transferred to you.
This license does not permit you to resell, redistribute, or otherwise provide access to the content in any form (such as sharing account details or distributing the content on unauthorized platforms). Educator retains the right to revoke access to any content, at its sole discretion, if it determines that legal, policy, or other reasons necessitate such action, including cases where the content is subject to a copyright infringement claim or where the content violates our Terms and Conditions.
It is also strictly prohibited for instructors to license their content directly to students, bypassing the Educator platform. Any attempt to do so will be deemed invalid and considered a breach of these Terms.
Profit Distribution
Educator is committed to ensuring that instructors receive a fair and substantial share of the revenue generated from their courses. For each course purchased, instructors retain 80% of the revenue, reflecting our dedication to supporting educators and encouraging high-quality course development. The remaining 20% goes to the Educator platform, which covers platform maintenance, marketing, support services, and ongoing improvements. This distribution model prioritizes instructor earnings, enabling them to benefit directly from their expertise while fostering a collaborative, sustainable educational environment on Educator.
